Inexpensive Disk Brake Conversion to fit 10' wheels
You will need Honda civic 1984-1987 parts to convert them, in order to fit your 10" wheels. (This is conversion was not made originally by me, but it works great).
The machine work required for the rotors are :
1) Bore the centre of the disc out to 65.0mm diameter and
2) Machine the disc down to 7.90" (19.75cm) diameter
3) Re-drill the disc accurately to suit the Mini stud pattern.4 holes 10.0mm diameter on 4.0" (101.6mm) PCD).
4) The only thing that you must do is knock the studs out of your
existing drive flange.
5) Set up true in lathe, machine the front of flange down to 65.0mm diameter.
6) Only take a few thou off the front mounting face to clean up, where the drum sat and allow the rotor to sit true.
7) You'll need to get cooper S studs which are longer and a 1 inch(2.5cm) spacers.
8) all the things you'll need to get are:
a) 1985 Honda Civic Calipers w/bolts & pads
b) 1 inch spacers
c) two extra copper washers.
d) cooper S Studs
The offset is the same as a mini equipped with "S" brakes. The plates
fit onto your existing drum braked mini spindle (were the backing
plate from the drum brakes fit) and uses your existing flex lines. ( i know for sure that 10 inch steelies, dunlops& cosmics don't fit but newer alloys like minilites do) and all 12 or 3 inch wheels will fit.
